English Conversation Class Activities
Three times a year for an entire month, I organize and lead an English conversation class on Wednesdays for an hour and a half. The students range in both level and age (from high school to retired). The goal of the class is to teach how to take a trip abroad in a foreign country where English is spoken.
For one of my months, the theme was understanding foreign hotels. We discussed making reservations online as well as on the phone or in person, finding about the different things to do in a hotel, how to get to and from the hotel, as well as asking questions to the hotel staff.
I created worksheets and notes for the students to use during class. These worksheets allowed the students to practice their speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills. Below are some of the worksheets for the class.
